board-roomInaugural Launch of Advisory Board to PSUNYC Alumni Chapter

Dear Fellow NYC Penn Staters and Friends:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am thrilled to announce the inaugural launch of the Advisory Board to the Penn State Alumni Association – New York City Chapter! Our new Advisory Board is comprised of notable and accomplished Penn State alumni that live and work in New York City, and will be providing our Chapter’s leadership with advice, expertise and professional insight.

Over the past six years, our local alumni Chapter has seen significant growth. Over 15,000 alumni and friends currently subscribe to our weekly communications and we are quickly approaching 500 paid members. In addition, we have increased the regularity and quality of our programming and events, adding opportunities for Career Development and Networking, Philanthropic and Scholarship Fundraising, local Community Service volunteer opportunities as well as participation in Sports leagues or Social events. We have also substantially increased our fundraising efforts and donations to the Chapter’s endowed scholarship fund. With the addition of our Advisory Board to the Chapter, we look forward to continued growth and an even stronger Chapter.

Please join me in welcoming the following esteemed New York City Penn Staters to our Chapter’s 2018/2019 Advisory Board*:

Alice Pope                                      Susan Ellis
Kenneth Pliska                             Mark Shulman
Christopher Hastings                  Richard Fisher
Michael Rosenblatt                     George Santiago
Ellyn Fisher                                    Joshua K. Blair
Jeff Michelson

A special Penn State “Thank You” to these individuals for offering their valuable time and expertise to help elevate our organization to the next level. Finally, I would also like to express my gratitude to our Chapter’s Immediate Past President, Lynn Hendrickson, who has been instrumental in enabling us to bring this initiative to fruition over the past 12 months.

For the Glory,
