PSU NYC Whiskey 101 Tasting Experience at Sanford's

Join PSU NYC at a Top 40 Whiskey Bar in America, Sanford's, for a Whiskey 101 Tasting Experience!

Have you ever wanted to dive into the world of whiskey?  The PSU NYC Whiskey 101 Tasting Experience at Sanford's on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 6:30 PM will allow your palate to roll through three diverse classifications of whiskey from some of your favorite distilleries.  You will be escorted through the whiskey making process, understanding your whiskey palate & so much more!  Each whiskey experience will be paired with hand selected hors d'oeuvres from the iconic Sanford's kitchen.  Resident bar manager and beverage guide Rocco DiLillo will walk you through the experience of whiskey at a higher level.  Don't miss the chance to taste all the way up to the top shelf & beyond in this informative, entertaining experience.

Throughout the 75 minute event, attendees will learn about the basics of whiskey tasting & apply these techniques to three different classifications of whiskey.  Attendees can expect the following:

  • A welcome custom house cocktail
  • A station with a special tasting placemat, whiskey tasting glasses & tasting notes
  • Access to formats of chilling & dilution products including KOLD draft ice, crushed ice, large format ice & chilled filtered water droppers
  • (3) 15 minute sessions of guided whiskey tastings by Sanford's resident bar manager
  • House paired hors d'oeuvres served during each whiskey tasting
  • Q&A with Sanford's resident bar manager

We hope you’ll join us for this very special event, of which proceeds will benefit the Michael D. Ferugio Scholarship Fund!
