2024 PSU NYC Annual Celebration / Networking Event

Guest Speaker: Mike Rhodes, Penn State Men's Basketball Head Coach

   

All local Penn Staters (and friends of the University) are invited to join us on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 6pm at the Cornell Club - Manhattan for an evening of networking and merriment at the Penn State NYC Annual Celebration / Networking Event. Admission to the event includes food and drink. The NYC Chapter Board of Directors is thrilled to announce Penn State Men's Basketball Head Coach, Mike Rhodes as our guest speaker this year!


This event is an annual opportunity for local Penn Staters to celebrate the great year we have had as a Chapter and learn about our plans and goals for the upcoming year. We'll be raffling a number of great prizes and having a silent auction to benefit the Chapter. The results of the 2024-25 Executive Board election will also be announced.

 

We will be joined by many special guests, including the President and Vice President of the Penn State Alumni Association, Anand Ganjam and Susan Robinson. Many more will be announced soon!

Pricing:                        $75 (Registration pricing includes hors d’oeuvres and an unlimited bar with wine, beer, liquor & soft drinks from 6-9pm.)

                                       In person registration closes at 10:00 AM the day of the event, walk-ins are welcome.

About Anand Ganjam

A life member of the Penn State Alumni Association, Anand Ganjam serves as the President of the Penn State Alumni Association. He got his start with Alumni Council in 2014 with Ex-Officio Term as the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) Student Body President.

 

Ganjam was appointed to the Alumni Council in 2015 following his graduation from the Smeal College of Business, and he was appointed to the Executive Board in 2016. Throughout his tenure, he has chaired multiple Committees including Young Alumni & Student Engagement, Membership Experience, and most recently the Nominating Committee. In 2021 he was elected to the position of Vice President.

   

Professionally, Ganjam is a Strategy & Consulting Senior Manager with Accenture. He specializes in helping fortune 500 organizations navigate change, develop talent, increase digital fluency, and create impactful employee experiences. He has worked across multiple industries including life sciences, consumer products, chemicals, high tech, and state governments.

 

In addition, Ganjam is an ardent advocate for financial wellness, and has led numerous efforts within Accenture and Penn State to expand financial literacy through educational sessions and dialogue. He has served on several University boards and committees including the Financial Literacy Advisory Board and the Student Affairs & Undergraduate Education Development Committee. He is a proud Mentor for the Alumni Association's FastStart Program, and he is actively involved with the UPUA AlG.

   

About Susan Robinson


A life member of the Penn State Alumni Association, Susan Robinson is the Vice President of the Penn State Alumni Association. A quintessential leader who shifts thinking, elevates potential and inspires action. She is making an impact on the world in a truly unique way. As a keynote speaker and business advisor, Susan masterfully blends 25+ years of multisector leadership with her experiences being legally blind. She works with executive leaders of global firms and Fortune 500 companies, top not-for-profits, leading universities and the United Nations. Her work increases relevance, revenue and reputation for her clients and impacts the lives of people in 130+ countries.

   

Susan’s speaking style is high energy, interactive, inspirational and thought-provoking. Her adept ability to convey difficult and complex issues with approachability allows her to resonate with diverse audiences around the world. In her role as business advisor, Susan partners with senior and executive leaders on enterprise-wide issues. Her team-oriented approach draws the best out of others, ensuring success for all. Her previous projects include leadership workshops for top talent; competitive differentiators and growth potential assessments; and strategy, horizon and transformation planning. Susan’s results have included 4x-7x revenue increases, accessibility policies and procedures development, enhanced process efficiencies, new program launches and executive leadership transitions.

   

Susan is an Executive Board Member of the Penn State Alumni Association's Alumni Council and a Board Member of both the New York State Preferred Source Program for People Who Are Blind and InTandem Cycling. She received her Master of Public Administration, specializing in Health Policy and Management, from New York University, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service; and her Bachelor of Science, Health Policy and Administration, with minors in Business and Economics, from The Pennsylvania State University.

   

Susan is a tango dancer, yoga practitioner world traveler and triathlete-in-training. She lives in New York City.
